| BIT aims to be a premier
Engineering & Technology college with a wide cross section of
industry relevant courses. Since we are in the growing stages,
we currently offer four highly coveted undergraduate courses. |
|
| |
|
| Civil Engineering |
|
| Considered one of the oldest
engineering disciplines, Civil Engineering involves planning,
designing and executing structural works. The course includes a
wide variety of engineering tasks including designing,
supervision and construction activities of public works like
roads, bridges, tunnels, buildings, airports, dams, water works,
sewage systems, ports, etc. Thus opening a multitude of
challenging career opportunities. BIT offers a B.Tech in Civil
Engineering. Original research in Civil Engineering is
encouraged and facilitated by research faculty. |

| Electronics & Communications
Engineering |
|
| The focus of this B.Tech degree
program is on ‘Wireless Communications’. The curriculum is
designed to emphasize digital processing of information for
efficient communication over noisy channels. In tune with the
above objective, the syllabus features a host of core courses to
give a balanced coverage of the theory and practice of modern
Communication Engineering. The core program is supplemented and
further reinforced by a well-chosen set of elective courses
permitting students to specialize either in the software or the
hardware aspect of Communication Systems. Apart from covering
course material, faculty and students will vigorously pursue
research while collaborating with industry and academia through
internships and conferences. |

| Information Science &
Engineering |
|
| Information Science is an
interdisciplinary science primarily concerned with the
collection, classification, manipulation, storage, retrieval and
dissemination of information. Students are taught to study the
application and usage of knowledge in organizations, along with
the interaction between people, organizations and any existing
information systems, with the aim of creating, replacing or
improving information systems. Information science incorporates
not only aspects of computer science, but often diverse fields
such as cognitive science, commerce, communications, law,
library science, management, mathematics, public policy, and the
social sciences. BIT offers an undergraduate course leading to a
bachelor’s degree in Information Science taught by an
experienced faculty equipped with all the infrastructure and
facilities needed for a detailed and comprehensive
understanding. |
